Browns guards Steinbach, McKinney miss practice Thursday

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Browns starting guards Eric Steinbach and Seth McKinney missed practice on Thursday and their status is uncertain for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Steinbach, a free-agent acquisition who helped solidify Cleveland's line, strained his back during practice on Wednesday and is day to day.

McKinney missed his second straight practice with a shoulder injury he suffered during Sunday's win over Seattle.

Lennie Friedman and Ryan Tucker, who hasn't played guard since the late '90s with the Rams, will play if McKinney and Steinbach are unavailable against the Steelers. Isaac Sowells and Nat Dorsey also will be used.

The Browns' offensive line has not had a starting lineup change all season and has given up just seven sacks over the last seven games.
