Chargers right tackle Clary carted off after left leg injury

San Diego Chargers right tackle Jeromey Clary was taken off the field in a cart early in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos with a lower left leg injury and did not return.

Clary clutched at his leg following a running play deep in Denver territory. The third-year player stayed down for a few minutes and then was helped into the cart.

Before the cart drove away, Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers trotted over and spoke to Clary.

Cary, who has started all 10 games this season, was replaced by Brandyn Dombrowski. The Chargers were already without starting center Nick Hardwick, who has been out since having ankle surgery following the season opener.
