Commanders CB Marshon Lattimore arrested in Ohio on weapons charges

Washington Commanders cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested in Ohio on Wednesday night on weapons charges, Lakewood (Ohio) Police Department records show.

Lattimore was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle -- a felony offense -- and carrying concealed weapons, per police records.

Lattimore, a Cleveland native, was apprehended at 11700 block of Clifton Blvd. in Lakewood, about four miles west of downtown Cleveland, at 6:14 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

The Commanders said in a statement, "We have been made aware of the arrest and are gathering more information. We are in communication with the NFL League Office and have no further comment at this time."

Lattimore, 29, just finished his ninth season in the league. In his first full year with the Commanders, the veteran cornerback started all nine games he played, tallying 27 tackles, seven passes defensed, a fumble recovery and an interception. Lattimore suffered a torn ACL in Washington's Week 9 game and missed the remainder of the campaign.

Acquired from the Saints in a 2024 midseason trade, Lattimore has one year but no guaranteed salary remaining on his deal in Washington.
