The Baltimore Ravens are confident in the full recovery of tight end Nick Boyle.
Boyle and the Ravens have agreed to a two-year, $13 million contract extension, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source. The six-year veteran is now under contract through the 2023 season.
Boyle is guaranteed $10.5 million upon signing the extension, according to Rapoport. He was due $5.5 million in 2021 on his previous contract.
Boyle ended the 2020 season on injured reserve after suffering a gruesome knee injury in Week 10. In nine games played last season, Boyle had 14 receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns. A fifth-round selection in the 2015 draft, Boyle is a key run-blocker for the league's leading rushing attack the past two seasons.
Earning an extension is a big vote of confidence that Boyle will fully recover and produce going forward.
