Injuries we're tracking from Sunday's Week 5 games

Here are the injuries we're monitoring on the fifth Sunday of the 2018 NFL season:

  1. Los Angeles Rams wide receivers Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp exited early after suffering concussions against the Seattle Seahawks. Cornerback Sam Shields suffered a shoulder injury in the first half.
  1. San Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter and did not return against the Arizona Cardinals. NFL Network Ian Rapoport reported X-rays were negative, but the 49ers' starting running back might miss time.
  1. Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan suffered a foot injury versus the Buffalo Bills.
  1. Jacksonville Jaguars running back Corey Grant suffered a season-ending lisfranc injury during their loss to the Chiefs, Rapoport reported, per sources. He's headed to injured reserve, Rapoport added. Left tackle Josh Wells exited in the second quarter with a groin injury and did not return.
  1. Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif fractured his fibula in Kansas City's win against the Jaguars. "It's going to take a little bit of time but he's not done for the year," Reid said.

Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston suffered a hamstring injury in the first half against the Jaguars and did not return. Safety Eric Murray was ruled out with a lower leg injury. Linebacker Tanoh Kpassagnon (ankle) and safety Armani Watts (groin) also exited early and did not return.

  1. Bills punter Corey Bojorquez suffered a shoulder injury in a win over the Titans.
  1. Denver Broncos cornerback Adam Jones suffered a leg injury and sat out the second half against the New York Jets.
  1. Jets cornerback Buster Skrine suffered a head injury and did not return.
  1. Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins suffered a knee injury in the second half against the Baltimore Ravens and did not return.
  1. Miami Dolphins tackle Laremy Tunsil was in the concussion protocol and did not return against the Cincinnati Bengals.
  1. Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (hamstring) was inactive against the Philadelphia Eagles.
  1. Cardinals right tackle Andre Smith exited in the third quarter with a hamstring injury. Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche (foot) was inactive against the 49ers.
  1. Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackles Russell Okung (groin) and Joe Barksdale (knee) were inactive against the Oakland Raiders.
  1. Raiders defensive end Frostee Rucker exited with a neck injury. Guard Kelechi Osemele (knee) was inactive.
  1. Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller (hamstring), running back Lamar Miller (ribs) and wide receiver Keke Coutee (hamstring) are all active for Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Cornerback Kayvon Webster was knocked out of the game with a quad injury.

  1. Seahawks safety Earl Thomas, who suffered a leg fracture last Sunday, will have surgery to have a rod inserted this week, a source told Rapoport. The procedure increases the chance of healing and lowers refracture rates. Thomas should be at 100 percent long before free agency.
