Jets sign LB Mauga off practice squad, waive DT Green

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets have signed linebacker Josh Mauga from the practice squad and waived defensive tackle Howard Green.

The Jets also signed linebacker Kenwin Cummings to the practice squad Tuesday, four days after they waived him.

Mauga was signed to the practice squad Sept. 6 after being waived two days earlier. He originally signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in August 2009.

Green had a forced fumble in two games with the Jets this season. He also spent last season with the Jets, but he has previously played for the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks.

Cummings, signed as an undrafted free agent in 2008, played on special teams in three games this season before being waived Friday.
