Netflix is revisiting the game's most important position in its profiling of the NFL's star players.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff and Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins will be featured in Netflix's second season of Quarterback, the streaming service announced on Wednesday.
Season 2 of the docuseries, which is produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions, is scheduled for release this July.
Quarterback, which premiered in the summer of 2023 with Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota and Cousins featured, gave viewers special access to the game's star players on and off the field throughout the prior season through exclusive interviews, in-game mic'd-up moments and other behind-the-scenes content.
Season 2 will get a closer look at Burrow's incredible 2024 campaign in which he became the NFL's leader in passing yards and touchdowns en route to being voted the AP's Comeback Player of the Year.
Goff will give an inside look at Detroit's rise to NFL supremacy as the NFC's No. 1 seed and the downfall of a once hopeful season that came to a heartbreaking halt in the wild-card round.
In his return to the series, Cousins' venture into Atlanta is also poised to give an eye-opening look at the adversity he went through as the league's highest-priced free agent entered a new city with high expectations and was eventually benched for rookie Michael Penix Jr..
Netflix followed up its 2023 Quarterback premiere with Receiver last offseason, profiling Davante Adams, Deebo Samuel, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
The streaming service is following up with an original subject and featuring two new star players for 2025.
