Lamar Jackson full participant at Ravens practice; John Harbaugh 'optimistic' QB will play vs. Steelers

The Ravens might receive their most important reinforcement just in time for their winner-take-all Week 18 showdown in Pittsburgh.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and appears to be trending toward playing Sunday night against the Steelers, according to coach John Harbaugh.

"I can't speak for Lamar or anybody, but he looked good," Harbaugh said Wednesday. "I'm optimistic. I'm very optimistic and we'll see how it plays out the rest of the week."

Jackson suffered a lower back contusion in Baltimore's Week 16 loss to New England, knocking him out of that contest and their Week 17 date with Green Bay. Backup Tyler Huntley filled in for Jackson and guided the Ravens toward a run-heavy win over the Packers on Saturday night.

With the AFC North title and their playoff lives on the line, the Ravens will hope Jackson continues to improve.
