Martavis Bryant spent past three weeks in counseling

Martavis Bryant is returning to the Steelers a new man.

The second-year wideout, who was suspended for four games due to multiple violations of the NFL's substance-abuse policy, spent the last few weeks working on structuring his life and mind.

Via NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, per a source informed of Bryant's plans:

"Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant returned to the Steelers this week after spending three weeks at a counseling facility in Houston run by noted counselor John Lucas. He is still suspended one more week, and he can't practice. But he'll be in meetings.

"Bryant spent 9 to 5 for the last three weeks there, living in a hotel the rest of the time. He had two counseling sessions a day. The point was to build structure and keep training."

This is good news for Bryant and the Steelers, who will need to shower backup Michael Vick with as many available weapons as possible. With Ben Roethlisberger out for at least the next month, having Bryant added into the mix next week will diversify the game plan enough to keep the pressure off Le'Veon Bell's shoulders entirely.

In recent months, we've seen players like Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel and Ravens safety Will Hill talk about the benefits of certain rehabilitation programs and counseling.

Bryant hopes to be the latest success story.
