Niners LB Spikes active vs. Jaguars after missing one game

SAN FRANCISCO -- Linebacker Takeo Spikes is active for the 49ers' game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Spikes missed last week's 30-24 loss at Green Bay and was replaced by Matt Wilhelm. Spikes strained his left hamstring just before halftime of a Nov. 12 victory over the Chicago Bears and hadn't played since then.

The 49ers had just four active receivers Sunday: Michael Crabtree, Brandon Jones, Josh Morgan and Jason Hill. Veteran Isaac Bruce (ankle) was inactive for the second time this season.

Cornerback Tyron Brackenridge moved into the Jaguars' starting lineup in place of former Pro Bowl selection Rashean Mathis, who missed his second consecutive game with a groin injury.
