With his team trailing by 21 points, Russell Okung walked off to Seattle's locker room after injuring his left shoulder on a second-quarter drive. He did not return.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after the game that Okung dislocated his shoulder.
Okung was hurt on a play that saw quarterback Russell Wilson fling his second interception of the game. Backup bookend Alvin Bailey took over on the following drive.
Seattle's line was dominated by Carolina's punishing front seven, a feverish group that gave Wilson all sorts of problems.
Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril also did not return to the game after suffering a neck injury in the second quarter, the team announced.

- NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Panthers defensive end Jared Allen broke a small bone in his foot -- a bone close to his pinky -- on Sunday, per a source informed of his condition, though he played some of the game on it. Allen will see foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte on Monday for an expert opinion.
- Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a pectoral injury. He did not return.
- Broncos safety Omar Bolden (knee) left early and did not return.
