It's unlikely the Baltimore Ravens will see their No. 1 wide receiver's return in the Divisional Round.
Zay Flowers (knee) is officially listed as doubtful to play in Sunday's road playoff game against the Buffalo Bills following the wideout's third missed practice on Friday.
A doubtful designation leaves some hope the Pro Bowl WR will play, which head coach John Harbaugh indicated following Friday's practice.
"I think he will have a chance," Harbaugh told reporters.
Ultimately, Flowers' game status for Sunday might come down to a game-time decision.
Flowers injured his knee in the regular-season finale, forcing him to miss his first game of the season in the Wild Card Round. The Ravens handled the Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-14, last Saturday sans Flowers, relying on a ground game that set a franchise playoff record 299 rushing yards in the victory.
With cold weather conditions expected in Orchard Park, N.Y. on Sunday, the ground game will be essential for the Ravens once again. But the absence of Baltimore's top wideout could pose a problem against a Buffalo defense that was stout in its wild-card win, holding the Broncos to 7 points and 224 total yards.
Flowers has been Lamar Jackson's favorite target in 2024. The second-year WR led his team in receptions (74), yards (1,059) and targets (116), resulting in the 24-year-old's first Pro Bowl nod.
Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor, who combined for three catches for 49 yards and a touchdown last Saturday, will need to step up in Flowers' absence, however, Jackson also has a dynamic tight end duo at his disposal in Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, who combined for seven receptions for 80 yards in the Wild Card Round.
Ravens-Bills is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
