Runyan, Castillo among inactive Chargers players vs. Chiefs

SAN DIEGO -- One week of practice wasn't enough to get offensive tackle Jon Runyan ready for his Chargers debut.

Runyan, who signed with the Chargers on Tuesday, was on the inactive list for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Runyan hasn't played since the end of 2008 with the Philadelphia Eagles, and he had microfracture surgery on his right knee in January.

The Chargers signed Runyan after they placed right tackle Jeromey Clary on injured reserve with a season-ending ankle injury. Brandyn Dombrowski started at right tackle Sunday.

Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo was inactive because of a calf injury. Alfonso Boone started in Castillo's spot. At inside linebacker, Brandon Siler started in place of Kevin Burnett.

The Chiefs signed wide receiver Quinten Lawrence from the practice squad to the active roster.
