Sanchez hosting passing camp with new teammates

While a trade for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick remains in limbo, the Broncos' newest signal-caller, Mark Sanchez, is getting to work.

Sanchez, who was acquired by the Broncos last month, is eager to get acclimated with his new teammates. The quarterback will hold his annual passing camp Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Orange County, Calif. with his new arsenal of targets and fellow quarterback Trevor Siemian.

"It shows he wants to come in and get to know us before OTAs start," wide receiver Bennie Fowler told Mike Klis of 9 News Denver. "I think it's really good. It's going to help us get off to a good start."

Sanchez also hosted camps during his stints with the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles. Though the camp is brief, it will provide the receiving corps extra time to work with both Sanchez and Siemian prior to the team's offseason program which begins on April 18. As evidenced by last season, the Broncos' offense needs to be prepared for any situation.

"You've got to be ready with multiple quarterbacks, guys have to step in on a moment's notice and do the job," Fowler said.

After losing Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler, is the Broncos' offense ready for Sanchez to take the reins?

"He's taken the Jets to two AFC Championship Games, he's been in the league for a long time," Fowler said. "He's a good player. This will be a good situation."
