NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans tight end Craig Stevens is questionable to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers after being able to return to limited practice.
Stevens received treatment on his injured ribs after practice Friday, but he said through a team spokesman that he's feeling better and hopes to play against the Steelers (2-2). Stevens caught a touchdown pass in last week's 31-13 win at Cleveland and is a key blocker in the run game.
Titans coach Mike Munchak said it's a question of if Stevens can tolerate the soreness.
Fullback Ahmard Hall was excused from Friday's practice after returning from a four-game suspension. That apparently will not affect the Titans' plans to activate him for Sunday's game. Fullback Quinn Johnson, acquired Sept. 3 in a trade from the Green Bay Packers, was released Friday afternoon to free up a roster spot for Hall.
Wide receiver Kenny Britt, who's on season-ending injured reserve, had surgery Friday to repair the torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee. Britt tweeted a photo of himself dressed in a hospital gown ready for surgery and wrote, "Greetings from surgery tweeps:)."
Safety Michael Griffin returned to practice after missing Thursday with an illness. Griffin said he lost nine pounds because of the virus.
Wide receiver Marc Mariani (hip) and linebacker Gerald McRath (left knee) are probable after a full practice Friday. Starting left guard Leroy Harris (left ankle) was added to the injury report, but he fully practiced and is probable. Safety Chris Hope is out while recovering from a broken left forearm.
