NFL GLOBAL CANDIDATE DATA PRIVACY NOTICE

The National Football League and its affiliated entities (found under the NFL Group Members heading), including NFL Enterprises LLC and NFL International Ltd. (together, the "NFL," "we,", "our," or "us") are committed to protecting candidate personal information. This notice applies to any individual who has submitted an application through this portal or have otherwise shared personal information to pursue a role with the NFL and describes the basis on which we process personal information collected from or about you.

This notice does not apply to information that we collect outside the context of a person's role as a job applicant or candidate. If you become a member of the NFL workforce, a different privacy notice will apply to information collected in that context. I. What personal information may we collect about you

Depending on your location and the role(s) you pursue, the NFL may collect the following categories of personal information about you:

  • Identifiers: such as name and any former names; contact details including home address and former addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses; government-issued identifiers, such as passport or visa number; online account information; or other identification information.
  • Personal, educational, and professional information: such as date of birth and place of birth; classifications that may be protected under state or federal law (such as race or national origin); citizenship and related information, such as nationality and residency status; other demographic information, such as age, gender, religious affiliation, or other information; health-related information as permitted by applicable law, such as for disability accommodations; and financial information.
  • Other professional or employment-related information: such as application information and/or materials; offer letter or other offer details, if any; professional correspondence with or about you; information relating to or obtained from your references; your qualifications, such as educational background; employment history; and target compensation you may provide.
  • Internet and electronic network activity information: such as information about your interactions with NFL websites, mobile applications, and social media pages.
  • Sign-In and Device Information: such as username and password, account name or number, and other online or device identifiers, Internet or other electronic network activity information such as browsing and search history and information regarding interactions with websites and applications, our systems, and networks.
  • Other information we collect, or you may provide in connection with our recruitment processes.

This above information may be held electronically and/or in hard copy form.

II. Sources from which we collect personal information

The NFL may collect the categories of personal information listed above from the following categories of sources:

  • From you directly: such as when you send us your application or otherwise provide your personal information through this portal and via tracking technologies when you visit job application websites; and
  • When lawful, from third parties in the course of our business activities: such as including government entities and social networks such as LinkedIn, or entities providing services to us.

III. Why we process your personal information

The NFL processes your personal information for the following business purposes to the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • To assess, establish and/or manage NFL's relationship or potential relationship with you and for related functions including for personnel and administrative purposes including contacting you via email, phone, or other means, or considering your application for similar roles in the future;
  • In connection with business and legal processes such as maintaining business and statutory records, management analysis, audits, forecasts, planning, transactions, business continuity, and diversity initiatives;
  • To promote the security of the workplace (including the NFL's physical and virtual spaces), assets, workers and data including through background checks, references and security monitoring as permitted by applicable law;
  • To evaluate and/or rank you as an applicant;
  • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, unless we reasonably consider that we need it for another purpose that is compatible with the original purpose, and where required by law, there is a legal basis for the further processing and where we have provided notice to you.

IV. Retaining your personal information

NFL will retain your personal information for as long as it is relevant to your application with the NFL or as long as reasonably necessary to comply with any legal obligation or to fulfill the above-listed purposes.

V. Securing your personal information

We maintain reasonable security measures to safeguard information from loss, theft interference, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We also maintain reasonable procedures to help ensure that such data is reliable for its intended use and is accurate, complete, and current.

VI. Keeping your personal information up-to-date

NFL will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is kept up-to-date and accurate. From time to time, we may ask you to review and update the personal information we hold. In order for us to keep your personal information up-to-date and accurate, you must also inform us of any changes to the personal information we hold about you such as your name, address, and contact details.

VII. Disclosing your personal information

Sometimes we may disclose your personal information within the NFL and with certain third parties, including but not limited to professional advisers, insurers, service providers and other partners, public bodies, or a new (or prospective) owner in the event of a change (or prospective change) of ownership of the NFL. For example, your personal information may be sent to the following categories of recipient for the following reasons:

  • To competent public corporations, government authorities and law enforcement as may be required by law, including regarding tax, employment, social security and similar matters;
  • With NFL Member Clubs for consideration for other available positions;
  • To our service providers and other partners appointed from time to time to provide services related to our business, such as processors of applicant data;
  • To any new (or prospective) owners, should there be a change (or prospective change) in the ownership of the NFL, or business units or departments within the NFL;
  • To third parties to protect the security of the workplace, assets, and workers;
  • To other parties for legal and compliance purposes; or
  • As otherwise authorised by you.

We only permit third-party service providers and other partners to process your personal information for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions, consistent with this privacy notice.

VII. Personal information transfers

We may transfer your personal information, regardless of where you are based, to jurisdictions lacking protections adequate to those of your own jurisdiction. In such cases, the NFL will apply appropriate controls where required, including contractual controls that are accessible upon requests. For candidates residing in Europe, your personal information may be transferred to companies outside the UK or EEA.

IX. Your rights

Certain states in the United States and other international jurisdictions grant certain rights with respect to personal information. Depending on where you reside and in accordance with applicable law, you may be afforded the following rights:

  • Access: Subject to certain exceptions, you may be entitled to request to know what personal information we have collected about you. Where applicable, this will include personal information collected about you in the past 12 months.
  • Portability: In some jurisdictions, you may also have the right to request your personal information be ported to another organization.
  • Deletion: You may be entitled to request that we delete your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correction: You may also be entitled to request that we correct your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Restriction on Processing: You may be entitled to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information or object to processing of such information.
  • Consent: Where we process your personal information based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
  • Non-Discrimination: You may have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of your privacy rights.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise the access, data portability, correction, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by contacting us using the contact details provided in the "Contact Information" section below.

Only you or an authorized agent that you authorize to act on your behalf may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information.

Any verifiable consumer request (including those to delete data) must:

  • Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative; and
  • Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us. Additionally, if you are an EEA resident, you may enquire about the appropriate safeguards relating to the transfer of your personal information to a non-EEA country by contacting us using the contact details provided in the "Contact Information" section below. We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights except as permitted by law.

X. Amendments to this notice

The provisions of this notice may be altered by the NFL from time to time. Any alteration or addition will be posted on this portal or when required, notified to individuals in writing.

XII. Jurisdiction-Specific Notice

California Residents

This section provides additional information to California residents whose personal information is processed by the NFL. If you are not a California resident, this section does not apply to you.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the categories of personal information listed above under Section I and, for business purposes, we have disclosed certain of the above-listed categories of personal information to the categories of third parties identified above. We have not sold your personal information or shared your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information about you except as permitted by law.

Non-U.S. Residents

This section provides additional information to non-U.S. residents whose personal information is processed by the NFL. If you are a U.S. resident, this section does not apply to you.

The data controller of your personal information is the National Football League and NFL Enterprises LLC, together with the local NFL entity to which you are applying.

Where such concept is recognized, our legal bases for processing your personal information include:

  • Legitimate interest: In certain circumstances, we may use your personal information to pursue our or another party's legitimate interests, but we only do so provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests. The following processing takes place on the basis of legitimate interests:
    • To assess, establish and/or manage NFL's relationship or potential relationship with you and for related functions including for personnel and administrative purposes including contacting you via email, phone, or other means, or considering your application for similar roles in the future;
    • In connection with business and legal processes such as maintaining business and statutory records, management analysis, audits, forecasts, planning, transactions, business continuity, and diversity initiatives;
    • To secure the NFL workplace (including the NFL's physical and virtual spaces), assets, workers and data including through background checks, and monitoring as permitted by applicable law;
    • To evaluate and/or rank you as an applicant, whether manually or by automated means;
    • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations; or
  • Your consent.
