Injuries and news we're monitoring around the NFL on this Week 4 Sunday:
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Carlton Davis was ruled out of Sunday night's game due to a quadriceps injury. Bucs S Antoine Winfield left Sunday night's game early and was being evaluated for a concussion.
- New England Patriots defensive tackle Henry Anderson left Sunday night's game in the first half and did not return due to a chest injury.
- Washington Football Team tight end Logan Thomas (hamstring) was ruled out early against the Falcons. Thomas exited in the first quarter after just five snaps. Guard Brandon Scherff (knee) and receiver Dyami Brown (knee) were ruled out, as well. Receiver Cam Sims (hamstring) and linebacker Jon Bostic (shoulder) both exited early and did not return.
- Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery (knee) and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (groin) left their win over the Lions early. Coach Matt Nagy said the team is still learning the severity of Montgomery's injury. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport later reported that the initial belief is that Montgomery suffered a hyperextended knee that did not lead to a major injury. He is set to undergo an MRI on Monday.
- Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was ruled out after suffering a concussion near the end of the first half against the Ravens. Receiver Diontae Spencer (chest) was ruled out after getting injured in the first half. Rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II did not return after suffering a chest injury.
- San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould (hamstring) did not return against the Seahawks. Mitch Wishnowsky handled kicking duties. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo did not return after suffering a calf injury; rookie Trey Lance replaced him to begin the second half. Coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters that the team is unsure if Garoppolo, who was initially considered questionable, sustained a bruise, contusion or strain. Defensive lineman Arden Key left the game in the second half to be evaluated for a head injury and did not return. Left tackle Trent Williams suffered a shoulder injury late in the game and did not return. Shanahan did not provide any updates on Williams' status.
- Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder) and linebacker Preston Smith (shoulder) exited Sunday's win over the Steelers. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports Alexander is believed to have suffered an AC joint injury in his shoulder and will undergo additional tests to determine the extent of the injury.
- Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva (knee) did not return against the Broncos.
- Miami Dolphins receiver Will Fuller (hand) was ruled out in their loss to the Colts. Cornerback Byron Jones suffered a quad injury.
- Cleveland Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills (ankle) exited early against Minnesota.
- Dallas Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper exited briefly against the Panthers with a right hamstring injury. He returned later in the first quarter. Cornerback Trevon Diggs exited in the fourth quarter with back tightness. Coach Mike McCarthy described the situation as precautionary, noting Diggs could've returned if needed.
- Detroit Lions edge rusher Romeo Okwara is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday's loss to the Bears, Rapoport reported. He's scheduled to undergo further testing Monday to confirm. Center Frank Ragnow (toe) also exited early.
- New York Giants safety Jabrill Peppers left their win over New Orleans with a hamstring injury.
- New Orleans Saints running back Tony Jones Jr. was carted off the field in the second quarter. He did not return to the game with an ankle injury.
- Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano suffered a hamstring injury against Houston.
- Tennessee Titans receiver Josh Reynolds (knee) is questionable to return against the Jets. Guard Rodger Saffold is being evaluated for a concussion.
- New York Jets cornerback Brandin Echols was ruled out with a concussion. Defensive back Jarrod Wilson is being evaluated for a head injury.
- Atlanta Falcons cornerback Isaiah Oliver was ruled out against Washington with a knee injury.
- Houston Texans defensive lineman Jonathan Greenard suffered a chest injury against Buffalo.
- Minnesota Vikings cornerback Bashaud Breeland (illness) and defensive tackle Michael Pierce (elbow) exited early in their loss to the Browns. Coach Mike Zimmer said Pierce is going to get an MRI on his elbow.
- Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Joshua Kaindoh left with an ankle injury in their win over the Eagles.
- Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Kenneth Murray (knee) was downgraded to out on Monday Night Football against the Raiders. He was previously listed as questionable.
