Brandon Graham on potential return for Super Bowl LIX: Taking it 'one day at a time'

With the Philadelphia Eagles headed to the Super Bowl in New Orleans, could veteran defensive end Brandon Graham triumphantly return after a Week 12 triceps injury?

On Monday morning during his WIP radio show, Graham said he's taking it "one day at a time" but didn't rule out a return from injured reserve.

"I ain't heard nothing, man," Graham said, via Zach Berman of PHLY. "I'm just excited to be here, excited for this team, excited for this moment."

The hero of Super Bowl LII, when he stripped Tom Brady to give Philly its first Super Bowl trophy, Graham is in his 15th season with the Eagles. The plan was to retire after the 2024 season. The injury might have changed that calculus. So, too, could ending it by lifting a Lombardi Trophy.

The 36-year-old had 3.5 sacks in 11 games during the 2024 campaign.

"I feel good," he said, more than two months removed from the injury. "This has been the easiest injury, I'd say, out of the injuries I've had. Upper body stuff is a little bit easier. .... It's just making sure I'm building muscle, I'm getting stronger and doing the right things to where I'm not re-hurting it. We'll see what the docs say, see what's going on, and go from there."

With as well as Nolan Smith, Josh Sweat and even Jalyx Hunt are playing, the Eagles wouldn't be lost if Graham can't return. But getting a veteran with Super Bowl experience never hurts, even if it's only for a dozen or so plays.
