Browns add depth to offensive line, sign Ghiaciuc

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Browns have signed free agent offensive lineman Eric Ghiaciuc.

Ghiaciuc spent four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, who signed him in 2005. He made 42 starts at center for the Bengals, including all 16 games in 2008. He went to training camp with Kansas City last season but was released and spent time on San Diego's 53-man roster.

Ghiaciuc, 28, will likely serve as a backup center and guard for the Browns. Cleveland released backup center Hank Fraley and Rex Hadnot signed as a free agent with Arizona.
