Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. to miss Week 11 vs. 49ers after undergoing appendectomy

Arizona Cardinals second-year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will miss the first game of his career following appendicitis surgery.

Coach Jonathan Gannon announced on Wednesday that Harrison would miss at least this Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, and possibly longer.

"Marvin, two nights ago, had surgery, appendicitis, so he's going to be out," Gannon said.

Asked if it was a one-week thing, Gannon responded: "We'll see."

Harrison was just making strides this season, scoring a touchdown in each of the last two weeks and had a career-high seven receptions (96 yards, TD) in Week 9 against Dallas.

MHJ sits second on the Cardinals with 34 catches, 525 receiving yards and four TDs in 2025, all behind tight end Trey McBride.

The wideout's absence further depletes an already thin receiver corps, with Zay Jones suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 10. Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch are the top receiving targets left behind McBride. The Cards are likely to funnel even more of the offense through the TE. Running back Emari Demercado could also see an uptick in pass targets from Jacoby Brissett given the dearth of weapons.
