Injuries: Bills put Kyle Williams on injured reserve

The Buffalo Bills continue to be hampered by injuries to key players.

The team announced Tuesday that it placed defensive tackle Kyle Williams on injured reserve. Williams had been trying to come back from a meniscus injury he suffered in an October loss to the Bengals.

In other Bills injury news, rookie running back Karlos Williams was seen in a sling Tuesday. Williams suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs that knocked him out of the game.

Here's the rest of Tuesday's injury news:

  1. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said he's healthy after experiencing an ocular migraine in the final minutes of Pittsburgh's loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. Roethlisberger was put into the league's concussion protocol and went through a concussion test Tuesday. He said he should be ready to play Sunday night against the Colts.

The team told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that Roethlisberger has been diagnosed with a concussion, which corresponds with what Tomlin said in a press conference on Tuesday.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin also said that second-year linebacker Ryan Shazier is in the league's concussion protocol.

  1. Eagles quarterback Sam Bradfordwas seen taking snaps from center Jason Kelce in practice, which is a good sign. Bradford has missed the last two games -- both blowout Eagles losses -- with Mark Sanchez starting. Bradford has been dealing with a shoulder injury.
  1. Panthers defensive tackle Star Lotulelei (ankle) told reporters he will play Sunday against the Saints.
  1. Rapoport reports Cardinals running back Andre Ellington was diagnosed with a sprained toe (turf toe) after undergoing tests. Ellington is day-to-day but it is still uncertain if he'll play Sunday in St. Louis.
  1. Browns quarterback Josh McCown is out for the season after suffering a broken collarbone in Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Mike Pettine did not comment on who will start at quarterback moving forward.
  1. Giants guard Geoff Schwartz is officially out for the remainder of the season, the team announced Tuesday. Schwartz fractured his left leg Sunday against the Redskins.
  1. Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is week to week with a bone bruise / right knee sprain, according to a joint statement issued by the team and the Gronkowski family on Tuesday. Rapoport reported Monday he is expected to miss one week at the most.
