Injuries: Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul injures groin

Giants defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul went to the locker room late in the first half of the Giants' loss to the Steelers. The team announced it was a groin injury for the big pass rusher.

After the game, Pierre-Paul told NJ.com he'll have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

"It's just pulled," Pierre-Paul said. "Not too many details that I know. I'll know tomorrow for sure."

Here are the other injuries we are tracking Sunday:

  1. Star safety Earl Thomas left the Seahawks' game against the Panthers on a cart after taking a hard hit from his teammate when he went up to try to intercept a Cam Newton pass. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported per sources Thomas suffered a broken bone in his leg. NBC's Michele Tafoya reported, per coach Pete Carroll, Thomas suffered a cracked tibia. He's out indefinitely, Rapoport added.

Thomas tweeted shortly after the injury:

  1. Tom Brady lost another one of his targets Sunday. Danny Amendola did not return against the Rams after suffering an ankle injury in the second half. The wideout was seen going to the Patriots locker room and left in a boot, per NFL Network's Kimberly Jones.
  1. Patriots wideout Danny Amendola suffered a high-ankle sprain in the win against the Rams, Rapoport reported. The plan is to make sure the receiver is ready for the playoffs.
  1. Jake Matthews did not return to the contest after suffering a knee injury in the second quarter. The game was tied at 13 when the Falcons offensive lineman made his early exit. He was later seen going to the locker room.
  1. Jaguars center Brandon Linder (ankle) did not return against the Broncos.
  1. Texans wideout Braxton Miller (shoulder) left in the first half against the Packers and did not return to the game.
  1. Broncos running back Kapri Bibbs (ankle) did not return against the Jaguars.
  1. Eagles wideout Dorial Green-Beckham (rib) went in for X-rays and did not return.
  1. Bucs tight end Luke Stocker suffered an ankle injury and did not return. Receiver Cecil Shorts suffered a knee injury and also did not return.
  1. Steelers defensive lineman Javon Hargrave was evaluated for a possible concussion and did not return.
  1. Giants cornerback Coty Sensabaugh (rib) did not finish the game game against the Steelers.
  1. Panthers defensive back Daryl Worley is in concussion protocol, the team announced.
