Jaguars kicker Cam Little booms 70-yard field goal vs. Steelers

It won't count in the history books, but Cam Little delivered a field goal to remember on Saturday.

Little boomed a jaw-dropping 70-yard field goal to end the first half of the Jacksonville Jaguars' 31-25 preseason loss to the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers.

"He wanted it, so we gave it to him," Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said at halftime of giving Little the opportunity to attempt the kick.

The NFL record for longest field goal is 66 yards, set by then-Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker on Sept. 21, 2021.

"That was pretty cool for Cam, you wish that one would've gone in the record books," Coen said.

Little's mighty kick Saturday would've shattered the record, but, alas, tis only the preseason.

However, it should provide ample anticipation for Little's second season.

The 70-yarder was the third of four field goals on the night for him. He added an extra point and is sure to sky up fantasy football rankings.

A 2024 NFL Draft sixth-round selection of the Jaguars, Little made all 27 of his extra points and 27 of 29 field goals as a rookie -- including five of six from 50-plus with a long of 59.

He'll be looking to make plenty more from 50 -- and way beyond -- in the regular season.
