For just the third time in 26 years, the Jacksonville Jaguars are division champions.
Jacksonville secured its first AFC South title in three years on Sunday with its 41-7 win over the Tennessee Titans.
In beating Tennessee, the Jaguars (13-4) also ensured a wild-card spot for the rival Houston Texans, who clinched a playoff berth in Week 17.
The Jaguars secured their first playoff berth since 2022 in Week 16. Now, they are division champions and winners of at least 13 games for the first time since 1999. Jacksonville clinched the No. 3 seed in the playoffs later Sunday and will host the No. 6 seed Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Round.
Jacksonville has enjoyed a massive turnaround in Liam Coen's first season as head coach. After four wins in 2024, the Jaguars finished the 2025 season with just four losses. Trevor Lawrence is playing some of the best ball of his five-year career. Riding an eight-game winning streak, there is no team hotter entering the postseason.
As for the Texans, they're back in the postseason for the third straight year under coach DeMeco Ryans and quarterback C.J. Stroud.
Houston (12-5) clinched the No. 5 seed with their last-second win over the Colts on Sunday and will face the winner of Sunday night's game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers next weekend.
For the first time in franchise history, Houston will start the playoffs on the road as a wild-card team.
