Jaguars fans already knew they'd be treated to throwback "Prowler" uniforms during the team's Week 5 tilt against the Indianapolis Colts.
On Thursday, Jacksonville announced its shell white alternate helmets, which the team will wear in Week 10 versus the visiting Minnesota Vikings.
The Jags' new matte helmet -- the first white offering in franchise history -- includes an all-black facemask to match the black alternate jerseys Jacksonville is planning to pair with it.
According to the Jaguars' team website, the club designed the helmet in tribute to three vital elements to Jacksonville: the city's beaches, its military presence and the spirit of football.
If the throwback set unveiled a week ago serves to harken back to the formative years of a Jaguars franchise that began in 1995, these new shells along with the black alternate jerseys provide a futuristic taste, combining a sleek color scheme with Jacksonville's traditional logo.
However Trevor Lawrence and Co. are faring by midseason in their quest to return to the playoffs, they're sure to look sharp when they take on Minnesota in front of home fans.
