  • Detroit announced its 2025 training camp schedule, which will kick off on July 26 at Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park, Michigan. The Lions will conduct three joint practices with the Dolphins (Aug. 13-14) and Texans (Aug. 21).

INJURIES

  • LT Josh Simmons (knee) is taking a day-by-day approach when asked Tuesday if he feels he can be ready for training camp. "This is kind of what I anticipated," the first-round pick said of his rehab, via Charles Goldman. "What I worked for. I got my operation done by the platinum standard, and then I have the best in the business here."


MINICAMP NEWS

  • G Trey Smith is present at mandatory minicamp, per local reporters. Smith received the non-exclusive franchise tag on Feb. 28 and signed it on March 9. The 26-year-old OL will earn $23.4 million on the tag unless a new deal is agreed to before the July 15 deadline.

  • WR Jalin Hyatt left Tuesday's minicamp practice early with an apparent injury, The Athletic's Dan Duggan reported. Hyatt is entering his third season with New York. The 2023 third-round selection has totaled 31 catches for 435 yards in 33 games played over two years.
