- LB Tremaine Edmunds has been granted permission to seek a trade, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday, per sources. Edmunds, 27, is entering his ninth season in the league and his fourth with Chicago. The LB has one year left on his deal with the Bears, carrying a $17.4 million cap number with no guaranteed salary. Edmunds logged 112 tackles, four interceptions and a sack in 13 regular-season games played last season.

- Head coach Todd Monken said Wednesday that the Browns will have an open QB competition between Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Monken added that he would like to go into training camp allocating reps to the eventual starter but that would first have to be decided during organized team activities.
RETIREMENTS
- OL Will Clapp announced he is retiring following eight years in the NFL. Clapp was drafted by the Saints and played four seasons for them before stints with the Chargers and Bills. He was on New Orleans roster in 2025 but miss the whole season on injured reserve. He played 66 career games with 22 starts.

- G Landon Dickerson, who was contemplating retirement, indicated he'll be returning in 2026 with a social media post on Wednesday.
ROSTER CUTS
- C Lloyd Cushenberry was released with a failed physical designation. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Cushenberry, who recently underwent shoulder surgery, should be good to go for the 2026 season.

INJURIES
- QB Cam Ward's rehab on his right shoulder is "tracking well," general manager Mike Borgonzi told reporters Wednesday. Ward hurt his throwing shoulder in Week 18 but the injury did not require surgery.

- Borgonzi said the Titans are looking to strike a new contract with LG Peter Skoronski, who's entering the final year of his rookie deal.
