» The Giants will want to get No. 12 overall draft pickOdell Beckham's playmaking ability on the field early and often. The former LSU star is a home-run threat in the return game, which bodes ill for Trindon Holliday's chances of sticking on the roster. The coaching staff hasn't given up on Rueben Randle, and Jerrel Jernigan showed promise in averaging nearly seven catches and 80 yards over the final three games of last season. Beckham will have to earn his snaps at wide receiver.
» When a team uses a second-round pick on a center, the expectation is that the rookie will start. Weston Richburg should have the edge over J.D. Walton, who has been set back by a compound ankle fracture since early in the 2012 season. With the exception of left tackle Will Beatty recovering from a fractured tibia, the offensive line is in much better shape this offseason than last. Geoff Schwartz is an upgrade on the interior, and Justin Pugh's play picked up noticeably late in his rookie season.

»Tom Coughlin's secondary is much improved with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Walter Thurmond at cornerback, but safety Will Hill's lengthy suspension hurts. This defense desperately needs Jason Pierre-Paul to recapture pre-back surgery disruption up front. Much like the Cowboys, the Giants need a lot to go their way for a run at the playoffs.
