Ravens RB Derrick Henry moves up all-time career rushing yards, TDs lists

Ravens running back Derrick Henry moved up several all-time lists in Saturday's 41-24 win over the Packers amid an epic performance.

On a 5-yard run in the first quarter, Henry officially surpassed Tony Dorsett (12,739) for 10th on the all-time career rushing yards list, and he punched one in from 3 yards out just before halftime to move past Adrian Peterson (120) for fourth all time in rushing touchdowns.

"I'm so thankful and so blessed, and God has been so good," Henry said of reaching several milestones. "Every teammate and coach that has contributed throughout my career for me to have those accolades and the success I've had, I'm just very appreciative. As a kid, growing up hearing those names, idolizing those guys and my name to be mentioned with theirs, it's a surreal moment for me and something that I'll always cherish."

Henry entered Saturday night needing 64 yards to surpass Dorsett and three rushing scores to move past Peterson. Thanks to the Ravens' run-heavy approach in Lamar Jackson's absence, he did so in astonishingly fast fashion. He passed Dorsett on Baltimore's second drive, pulled even with Peterson later on that possession and secured a rushing TD hat trick ahead of the intermission.

He finished the game, his best as a Raven, with 216 yards and four scores on a career-high 36 carries, moving his career totals to 12,892 rushing yards and 122 rushing touchdowns while nearly singlehandedly keeping Baltimore's chances of winning the AFC North alive.

Thanks to Henry's heroics, Baltimore will avoid elimination ahead of the regular-season finale if the Browns can defeat the Steelers on Sunday.

"Hopefully we get blessed with the opportunity to play for something in Week 18, but at the end of the day we're still going to focus on finishing the season strong," Henry said. "We do need a little favor from Cleveland, but it is what it is. We know what's at stake, the position that we're in."

Though it's been a somewhat trying season for Henry, who has at times been plagued by fumbling issues, the future Hall of Famer has still made plenty of history in 2025.

He's in the middle of his seventh 1,000-yard rushing season and after his first score Saturday became only the fifth player in NFL history with five seasons of 13-plus rushing TDs. He's passed nine former greats in career rushing yards since the start of the campaign. Earlier this year, he leapfrogged both Jim Brown and Walter Payton in career rushing TDs.

Next in his sights for rushing yards is Eric Dickerson, with 13,259; he's already closing in on Marcus Allen's 123 rushing touchdowns.
