The Vikings released Winfield last month and axed his $7.25 million salary due in 2013. Winfield turns 36 years old in June, but he remains one of the NFL's top cornerbacks against the run. Winfield is a three-time Pro Bowl player who picked off three passes last season.
The Vikings seem comfortable with Chris Cook and Josh Robinson at the position, but Winfield remains a valued cornerback despite his age. The Seahawks' No. 1-ranked scoring defense would only get stronger with Winfield in the fold.
