It was Thanksgiving Day, so families nationwide gathered around their television sets to watch Ndamukong Suh's foot go somewhere it shouldn't.
The Detroit Lions defensive tackle became a household name last Turkey Day when he stomped on Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith. That was an egregious offense for which Suh was ejected from the game and received a two-game suspension without pay.
Suh was back at it again Thursday in the Lions' 34-31 overtime loss to the Houston Texans.
Suh wound up kicking Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin after right guard Derek Newton pulled down the Lions behemoth on a first-quarter play. Suh's legs wheeled around, and his foot clobbered Schaub, who limped around afterward. Suh's extra jab move at the end of the play was suspect.
"This is supposed to be a brotherhood," CBS analyst Boomer Esiason said at halftime. "You're supposed to have respect for one another. Bruce Smith, I could always shake his hand; Reggie White, I could always shake his hand after a game. I would never shake this guy's hand because, once again, he has crossed over a line, and it's obvious that it was on purpose."
Schaub, incidentally, wasn't injured and continued to play, although he refused to discuss the incident afterward.
"I don't really have anything to say about that play or that person," Schaub said.
Suh didn't have anything to say, either. He left the Lions' locker room before the media entered.
