Joe Flacco excited by Baltimore Ravens' additions

John Harbaugh isn't the only one "excited" by the Baltimore Ravens' additions this offseason.

On offense, the Ravens locked up tight end Dennis Pitta, added Owen Daniels, signed five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Smith, re-signed receiver Jacoby Jones, kept Eugene Monroe at left tackle and traded for center Jeremy Zuttah.

Those additions, along with bringing in new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak, have quarterback Joe Flacco eager to start the path back to the playoffs.

"It's a new year, a new beginning and a chance to do new things," Flacco told The Baltimore Sun on Saturday. "I'm always excited. I think we've got a good team and an offense that can put up some numbers. So it's just on us to do it."

Last season, Flacco was hampered by the loss of Anquan Boldin, Pitta's hip injury, a terrible offensive line and a feeble running game. General manager Ozzie Newsome attempted to address each of those failures this offseason. While these moves didn't make for splashy headlines like those of the Denver Broncos or New England Patriots, the Ravens had a sneaky good offseason.

In the latest edition of the "Around The League Podcast", the guys welcome Browns star Joe Haden to the studio and talk about the uncertain future of Chris Johnson.
