Report: Dallas Clark works out with Bucs

With Kellen Winslow on the way out in Tampa, the Bucs don't have a logical replacement for him on the roster. They may be adding one soon.

Bucs bid adieu to Winslow

The Buccaneers are trying to trade Kellen Winslow, according to the big tight end, writes Gregg Rosenthal. **More ...**

ESPN reports that Dallas Clark worked out for the Buccaneers last week and the team is expected to "try to make a move" on him this week. Clark also worked out for the Patriots, but he has been unable to get a free agent offer this offseason. Even from Peyton Manning's Broncos.

Clark is no longer the difference-maker he once was, but there should be an opportunity for snaps in Tampa. Luke Stocker, former Bengal Chase Coffman, and seventh-round pick Drake Dunsmore highlight the Bucs depth chart at tight end once Winslow is traded or released.

It's a good thing the Bucs added to their wideout group, because it's hard to expect much production from their tight end crew.

UPDATE: The deal has finally been consummated. NFL.com's Jeff Darlington reported later Monday that the Bucs agreed to terms with Clark. Though there has been no word on Winslow, it looks like the beginning of a new era at the tight end position in Tampa.
