LEAGUE NEWS

  • NFL owners on Monday passed a resolution that allows the league to flex Sunday games to Thursday night with 21 days of notice, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. Previously, there needed to be 28 days of notice in order to flex a game from Sunday to Thursday. Only one game has been flexed from a Sunday to a Thursday since it was permitted: Broncos-Chargers in Week 16 of the 2024 season.


RETIREMENTS

  • DL John Cominsky, who played five seasons split between the Falcons and the Lions, announced his retirement from the NFL. Cominsky said in a statement on social media that he was retiring due to an accumulation of injuries that "are overwhelming my desire to continue playing." Cominsky ends his career having played in 57 games (20 starts), recording 7.5 sacks, 107 tackles, 25 quarterback hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
