FLEX RANKINGS: 1-50
I'm in two fantasy playoffs -- one with my friends at Meadowlark Golf Course and the other with RIIP Pizza. So, one of my teams has the trio of Justin Jefferson, James Cook and Keenan Allen. And in the other league, I was going up against … you guessed it: Justin Jefferson, James Cook and Keenan Allen. I almost shot the moon to win in both leagues, but my mate had Brandon Aubrey AND the Falcons defense (What a pickup!). That's fantasy football, folks. Sometimes the breaks go your way. Sometimes you keep starting Cooper Kupp. Seriously, if you're this far with Cooper, I commend you.
BTW, do you think we can figure out who wronged Max Homa here? For the record, I play fantasy golf. I'm a NEVER RORY guy. Love Max. He's the best.
I know this is the Flex column, but I'm going to quickly brag about one of my fantasy teams, which made it to the finals with C.J. Stroud at quarterback. I deserve some kind of medal for that. My friend -- and my opponent last week -- had to chose between Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow. I'll allow you to figure out who he started. Now, onto the notes …
- Bijan Robinson is my top running back of the week. He's had 20-plus fantasy points in eight of his last 10 games. He's posted 11 games with at least 100 scrimmage yards. He should take advantage of his matchup against the Commanders this weekend.
- De’Von Achane has eight games with at least 20 fantasy points this season. He's also had nine touchdowns in his last nine games.
- Bucky Irving has scored at least 17 fantasy points in four of his last six games. He's recorded at least 90 scrimmage yards in four of his last five.
- Nico Collins has at least nine targets in three of his last four games. That number should rise with Tank Dell out for the season with a knee injury. Dalton Schultz should also benefit and see more passes thrown his way, though I'm not super excited about the matchup with Baltimore.
- Davante Adams has 10.1 targets per game this season, the third-most in the NFL. He's also been on a tear with five receiving touchdowns in the last month.
- Tee Higgins has a receiving touchdown in five of his last six games. That's not surprising considering he's had 13 red zone targets since Week 11, which is tied for the second-most in the NFL.
- The Seahawks and Cardinals are both in wait-and-see mode with their RB1s as of Tuesday. I'm not sure if James Conner (knee) or Kenneth Walker (ankle) will end up being available this week, but neither has been ruled out just yet, so I'm going to remain hopeful. 'Tis the season ... (UPDATE: The 'Hawks have ruled out Walker for Thursday night's game in Chicago. Zach Charbonnet will be a great stand-in, though. He's like Sammy Hagar in the Seattle backfield. We loved the old guy but the replacement was also great in his own way.)
FLEX RANKINGS: 51-100
- Mark Andrews, who many of you wanted to give up on earlier this year, has posted at least 10 fantasy points in five of his last six games. He's had nine touchdowns since Week 6, tied for the third-most in the NFL.
- What happened to Amari Cooper? He's had five or fewer targets in six of seven games with the Bills.
FLEX RANKINGS: 101-150
- Do you have the guts to start Ameer Abdullah? He's had 19-plus fantasy points in consecutive games, and the Saints don't really stop anybody.
- Devaughn Vele is a nice little sleeper this week as he's had 10-plus fantasy points in four of his last six games. And he has a great matchup against the Bengals this week.
