Fantasy football flex rankings: Top 150 RB/WR/TE options in Week 7 of 2024 NFL season

Pondering some tough flex choices for your fantasy lineup? Adam Rank sorts through the running backs, receivers and tight ends to present his top 150 flex options each week for the 2024 fantasy football season, with some useful nuggets of analysis sprinkled in. The ranking is based on a 0.5 PPR scoring format.

NOTE: In a typical week, this ranking will be posted on Tuesday. Injury designations will be added, adjusted or removed as teams' official injury reports are made available. The following three designations will be reflected:

• (Q) -- Player is listed as questionable on his team's official injury report.
• (D) -- Player is listed as doubtful on his team's official injury report.
• (O) -- Player has been ruled out on his team's official injury report.

FLEX RANKINGS: 1-50

We should start off with the big news of the day: The Jets are acquiring Davante Adams from the Raiders. Here are six initial thoughts on the move:

1. I love this for Adams and all the shares I have of him. He's going to New York for a reason, and that's to be a targets monster. No word on if his new place will have a Taco Bell, but he's going to eat. I'm assuming the hamstring injury that has sidelined him for the last few weeks isn't going to be an issue.
2. Garrett Wilson is going to be fine. This situation might even be better for him. Gone are the days when he gets 22 targets in one game. That's not happening again, but he's no longer going to be shadowed by the opposing team's top corner. He's going to run free as the WR2 to Adams. Tell your league mates the phone lines are open if they are looking to dump Wilson.
3. I'm hoping the Adams trade leads to an uptick in Breece Hall's production, given that the offense should be more explosive. Hey, I won't even point out that Hall was wide open underneath on the ball Aaron Rodgers threw to Mike Williams that was picked off late in Monday night's game.
4. Speaking of Mike Williams, should the Chiefs inquire about his availability now? If Kansas City ended up with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Williams, that would be amazing. For the record, Smith-Schuster is available in way too many fantasy football leagues. What are we doing here?
5. Don't start Tyler Conklin anymore.
6. I think it's difficult to be more excited about Brock Bowers than I already was, but now I fear for Mike Ditka's record for receiving yards by a rookie tight end. For real, how has this record survived for so long? And why don't we respect Ditka as a player more? I'm just asking questions.

I think we're covered here. Oh, and the Bills traded for Amari Cooper, who now goes from one of the worst offenses in the league to one of the best. Both swaps are accounted for in this week's rankings. OK, on to the rest of the notes ...

• Justin Jefferson continues to be awesome and a matchup with the Lions awaits him in Week 7. He's averaged 23.3 fantasy points in eight career games against Detroit, scoring 26-plus in each of the last three. The Lions have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to receivers this year, and this will be their first full game without Aidan Hutchinson since he suffered an injury that is expected to keep him out for the rest of the season.
• Bijan Robinson has the sixth-highest snap count among running backs this season. His scrimmage yards have increased in three consecutive games, and the Seahawks -- Atlanta's Week 7 opponent -- have allowed the sixth-most rushing yards per game this year. Don't overlook the fact that Falcons RB2 Tyler Allgeier was also a top-12 fantasy running back last week. He's a Flex option for you in this matchup.
• It seems like people keep underestimating Ja’Marr Chase. People were scared that he forgot how to play football when he opted out of the 2020 college football season and then allowed him to drop in their fantasy drafts when he was a rookie. Folks feared his hold-in leading up to this season, letting him fall in their drafts once again. Well, he's currently the fantasy WR2 this season and he'll next face the Browns, who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to receivers in 2024.
• I wasn't hyping Tony Pollard coming into this season, and I completely missed on that one. He's been great. His backup, Tyjae Spears, is battling a hamstring injury right now. But Pollard has been killing it regardless and I love his matchup against the Bills this week.
• J.K. Dobbins has amassed 100-plus scrimmage yards in three of his five games this season, and rookie Kimani Vidal was also a top-25 fantasy RB on Sunday, his first week being active for game day. Vidal was my dude this summer when you all tried to bully me out of taking him in just about every draft (where were you when I was drafting Zamir White?). Both Chargers running backs are in play this week against the Cardinals, who have allowed the fourth-most rushing yards per game.
• James Conner has had some ups and downs, with fewer than seven fantasy points in two of his last four games. He's touchdown dependent, posting fewer than 15 fantasy points in all three games in which he did not score a TD. The Chargers, Arizona's Week 7 opponent, have been one of the stingiest defenses against running backs this season.
• George Kittle has three games with 20-plus fantasy points this year. I think it's safe to say he's back. In a time when tight ends have failed to live up to their potential, Kittle has come through. He's like Stone Cold Steve Austin keeping the WWE afloat through the Attitude Era.

FLEX RANKINGS: 51-100

• Brock Bowers leads all tight ends this season with 37 catches, which is the second-most receptions by a tight end in his first six games in the Super Bowl era. The Rams, Las Vegas' Week 7 opponent, have allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends this season.
• Javonte Williams has scored 11-plus fantasy points in just two of six games this season. However, the Saints, Denver's Week 7 opponent, have allowed the ninth-most receiving yards to running backs this season. So, don't give up on Williams quite yet, but maybe also look at Broncos backup Audric Estimé on the waiver wire this week.
• Look for the Christian Kirk bounce-back game this week. He wasn't great last week, posting just 6.9 fantasy points, but the Bears were playing some great defense. He averaged close to 16 fantasy points per game in his previous three contests. He still leads the team in targets and receptions over the last four weeks. Brian Thomas Jr. is going to bounce back this week, too. Start both with confidence.
• Sam LaPorta had his first touchdown catch of the season on Sunday, a 52-yarder on a trick play. It was his first game with double-digit fantasy production this year. He's like Goldberg in this wrestling analogy. He was great for one year, but then it turns out he was just a one-trick pony. Sorry, that was harsh. The Lions have so many offensive weapons, which makes it really hard for one of them to truly stand out. Except for David Montgomery. That's my dude. I'm happy for him.
